Whenever I boot up, I get a message box telling me there's new Windows
Messenger software available, which I don't want, of course. So, each time,
I have to click No before I can proceed. Is there some way to get rid of
this annoyance or at least a quick workaround?

Sounds like it could be a winner. How does one get hold of XP AntiSpy?
