    Hi
I have just started having problems when I boot up my PC - it gets to
the Windows XP screen, after the initial start up, then just reboots
itself and doesn't get beyond the initial Windows screen, in a
continuous loop. I have rebooted in safe mode (no problem) and done
quite a bit on tinkering - device manager looking for conflicts, defrag,
system restore to when it was working properly, deleting temp files -
and when I do a "restart" everything seems fine. However, as soon as I
log off and leave it, when I next try to start it up it does exactly the
    same thing again.

I would appreciate some advice as to what may be causing this - do you
    think it's hardware or software?

Below pls find full details of my system and a hijack log.
    Many thanks
    Caagh

    In Caagh spewed forth:
    Software.

Go back into safe mode or recovery console and run chkdsk /r. That's the
first thing I'd try. Second, there's the system file checker - sfc /scannow.

I've encounter the same problem recently,
what I done start up by
    Pressing F8 rapidly,
select Last good start up configuration known,
after XP windows started,at Start button select Run and type msconfig click
    ok,
    select Diagnostic start up,
    restart PC,
    after PC restart,
    do a Restore,
I solve my problem in this way, hope you can too.

Right click on My Computer, regular click on Properties and go the Advanced
tab. Go to Start Up and Recovery and click on Settings. Uncheck Automatic
Restart. Confirm all the way and restart your system.

    Good Luck!
