Will MS solve the 14MB Vista D/L issue?

  1. Is Microsoft going to solve the 14 megabytes x64 "DVD" iso image download of
    Vista b2?
    I have received at home Microsoft e-mail with links for downloading beta2 of
    Vista.
    I keep downloading a 14 megs file (many here do) when using Microsoft
    download manager method.
    If I click on the other links I get server busy, excuse us, come back later,
    se you later alligator.
    I think this weekend is going to be "Vista-less" at home.

  2. Not sure when. I personally would wait until a later date to download it,
    the servers are being hammered.

  3. Hi, Carlos. I finally got both of them, filesizes seem resonable, I had to
    leave home and when I came back the download had errored out at 19%, but i
    resumed and it finished all in one go. Try and pick a time that is
    benefitial in your area, much of the combined connection in remote places
    possibly can be dependent on the passage of a satelite or two, as well?

    If it is still bad this evening, I hardly think it will continue like that
    tomorrow - what's your local time when World Cup starts? It's roughly 16 -
    17 hours from now and more than half your continent will be off-line, right?

    Waiting eagerly for the first match.
    That would be tomorrow, local time 1 PM.
    That means that I will be at work! and will not be able to see it.
    Fortunately Argentina starts playing on Saturday at 4 PM local time. :)
    Nevertheless I'll be able to see all argentinean matches because we have an
    arrangement at work to stop for 2 hrs during the match.
    I think I can place Vista on hold for another better "vista" (Vista in
    Spanish is view. Therefore my "Vista" will be the World Football Cup).
