I've been researching routers looking for those that don't have WIFI.
Are there routers without wireless provisions and, if so, who makes
them. Model numbers would be a great help also.

    Thanks in advance,

Disabling the WIFI would achieve your goal. No ?

    Thanks Rambo,

Is that a simple setting change, or is it more complicated?

  4. Per riserman:
    Simple setting.

Exact page/parm name will vary by router.

Seems to me like the selection of routers and the chances of getting the
best price will both increase if routers with wifi are considered.

On mine, it's just the "Network Setup" page and an "Enable Wireless"

YYMV... but it's going to be simple. Closest thing to a challenge
would be knowing how to bring up the router's setup page.

That way of doing things did not show routers "that don't have WIFI"

  7. Yeah, just like searching on "corded land line phone" wouldn't return
"phones that aren't cellular or wireless..."

Isn't that done through firmware's software like
though? Are there any routers' with physical buttons to (en/dis)able
    wireless feature?

Yes - BUT with some router the IP adress you give is not correct - you
must read the documentation received with the router.
If you see a physical button for wifi, it's not to enable/disable the
wifi, it's just to present the router on the wifi network with a more
complicated ID and a more complicated PassWord.(For details about that,
    please read the furnished documentation)
