I recently acquired a Panasonic video cam that writes to dvd-r and dvd-ram. After some use, I've had some fairly good results from using it. However, the part making it only "fairly good" is that two of my dvd-r's now have crc [Cyclical Reduncency Count] errors (from causes as yet unknown). The camera built-in software attempts to repair the discs, but external editing software mostly refuses to read the files. I've had some success with recovering parts of the .vob files using PowerDirector3, and Power DVD apparently reads the entire file with some freezing at the problem points. I would like to find an editing or converting software (affordable!) that will read the file and convert it -- like Power DVD does. Does anyone have any experience or know of any such software that will get past crc errors? Tim
