    Hello all,
I purchased a Flashtrax USB storage device a few weeks ago. It works fine,
and today I transferred some digital pictures from my CF card to the device
and then from the CF card to my computer. Now, there should be a flashtrax
icon in my system tray (there was the last time I did this a week or so ago)
which when I right click allows me to safely "eject" the device and then
remove the USB cable. I tried uninstalling the device (from within device
manager) and reinstalling the driver, but when I did this the "detecting new
hardware" dialogue box did not come up, however, the device is listed in
device manager and the flashtrax works fine. The manual says you can also
just shutdown the computer and then remove the USB cable..however, I would
like to know how to "retrieve" the systray icon. I have emailed the company:
"Smartmedia", but thought I might get a quicker response from the gurus
    here. I'm running win98SE.
    Many thanks in advance,
    Paul

Update: it's OK..I found the problem. I had "unchecked" CY_BG from the
msconfig>startup list. The icon is back again and allows safe disconnection
    of the device.
    Cheers,
