Time Capsule(please if you have any Idea please assist here)

    i have really set up the time capsule its connected and indicates green light,
    i have also installed the Airport utility program in my computer which is a
    desktop machine with windows xp,when i scan the Time capsule using the
    airport utility the following message is Displayed"Airport utility was unable
    to find any apple wireless devices.please make sure the apple wireless
    deviceyou want to setup is plugged and in the range of your computer and then
    click rescan to try again"

    Please what could be the proble coz i hope its supposed to be detected
    automatically since my computer has a wireless which connects with other
    networks around
