Thunderbird Text Color

    Is there any way to use colored text? How does TBird change fonts or
    font sizes? I have looked everywhere with no luck.

    Tools -> Options -> Composition -> Configure default html options.

    Also make sure that you are set to compose in HTML:

    Tools>>Account Settings>>(account in question)>>Composition & Addressing

    Check the box for Compose Messages in HTML
