I've been experimenting with Thunderbird, and so far I like it. I'm looking to
switch from OE soon. However, there's still one thing about it that I hate,
which has always kept me from switching to Netscape/Mozilla. It's the way
quoted text is displayed. I hate that bar thing. I want the good, old
fashioned ">>" instead. It's so much easier for editing. Is there any way I
    can change this?

Install the Quote Colors extension and configure accordingly.
