Thunderbird 1.0.6 news filters

Is there a way to filter news messages by the number of crossposts?
i.e.
If message has more than 2 crossposts, delete the message.

Not at the moment

 

Probably the most useful new feature that could be included IMO together
with the ability to filter those cross posted to specified newsgroups.

 

I agree wholeheartedly, and I *know* you're talking about uk.transport.

 

It was one of the most 'popular' (187 votes) bugs in Mozilla. No
resolution as of yet. There is likely a similar bug in TB as well
Its an oft requested 'fix' or 'enhancement' but as of yet, no one has
had the time and energy (and the smarts!) to pull it off.
Sounds like a simple thing, but it aint <g> (see the bug for details)

Since it seems to be an artifact of the original coding 'transferred' to
Thunderbird, getting it fixed in Mozilla would be an asset. Tho no one
would really object if it was fixed in TB and then made available to
SeaMonkey I guess <g>
