Hello everyone. This is my first post on this site which seems like
just what I was looking for. I currently have a network + and half of
my A+ cert and I am working on my XP 70-270 test currently...studying
for it anyway. I was just wondering what approach some of you take for
studying for cert tests. I feel like mine is long and drawn out a bit
and lacking something. Usually I will start with a big book from QUE,
take notes on the whole thing while reading, then move on to the little
books like the exam cram series. That has worked well in the past but
for this test it doesn't seem to be cutting it. I am doing pretty well
on the exams from exam cram that I got with the book but I just
purchased the Trancender XP test and I'm not really the handle on those
too well. Seems like there are a lot of Active Directory type things
and questions I would find on more of a Server oriented test. Just
wondering if that is what to expect and if there are some better study
methods than the approach I am taking. I appreciate any info. Thanks!

  2. As long as you cover the objectives stated here:
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/exams/70-270.asp
then you'll do fine. Try downloading Virtual PC or Virtual Server from
Microsoft and create your own domain environment for more hands-on practise.
