Strange missing 'recent documents'

  1. Hey all....

Just had a user that doesnt have any 'documents' in the start menu.
PC is running Windows 98 and they are definately in C:\%OS%\recent\
Opening and closing a document shows them in the recent folder, but not on
    the start menu 'documents' folder..

Whats going on here!! Ive never struck this..

  2. Two minutes later and maybe problem solved. Seems having "show file
extensions" enabled in explorer disables the use of recent documents. Anyone
    else had this before?

That is whacky bug, so no, never had that before. Enable file extentions
if the pc is connected to the internet and use the recent list in the
    office apps.
    Ciao, Dave
