    Some hackers have been delving into the guts of Android, and they are less
    than impressed with what they see.

    Yes, you can build an indigestible, inflexible, monolithic hash of a system
    on top of a Linux kernel. But I’m not worried. Because as long as Google
    doesn’t try to pull a Tivo, those who want to replace their system with
    something better will be able to.

    It doesn't have to be flexible - it only needs to do what Google wants it to do.

    so long as it is secure and reliable and open I don't care that Google did an inflexible implementation.
