Shouldn't Have Installed That.

I downloaded, & ran a random wallpaper manager setup from
    http://coolwallpaper.com/. When I decided I didn't like it & tried to
uninstall it, there was no reference to it in 'add or remove programs.
    To remove it I:
    1. Manually changed the wallpaper back to what I wanted.
    2. Deleted all references to coolwallpaper from my registry.
    3. Deleted the coolwallpaper folder.
    4. Ran NAV for trojan check.
Now whenever I start certain programs, they start minimised & when I
maximise them they start for a second or two & minimise again. The only way
to start them is switch to task mgr & select 'switch to'.
The problem applies to some of my executalble files, but not all & there
doesn't appear to be any pattern as to what has been affected. When i close
the application via right-clicking task bar, I get a non-responsive error.
I didn't have any problems before installing the coolwallpaper files.
    Anyone .. help .. PLEASE.

Thanks if you read this far. I've resolved the problem by fixing the size of
my swap file. I've no idea why it makes a difference to this problem but it
works. It's on winxp for the curious.
