No, because the ethernet port is mdi/mdix auto-sensing.
Any ethernet patch cable will do - I make my own up, to keep to a
colour coding and avoid over-length patch cables creating a rat's
As it happens, my unfiltered internet colour is red, but mainly so
    it's obvious, and I don't want to plug anything into a non-firewalled
    internet connection without intending to.
Servers are green, workstations blue, PoE orange, etc.
It does make it easier to know where everything is going.

My first ADSL router was weird. It's badged Sweex, I still have it.

If I connected any of the 4 switch ports to a NIC with the supplied
(or another) straight Ethernet cable it didn't work. By accident I
found that connecting it via another intervening switch worked.

Connecting direct to a NIC with a crossover cable was fine.
ie the exact opposite of what you'd expect with non MDI/MDIX kit.

I wonder if it was just mine that was like that?
Unlikely I would have thought, so I wonder how many users returned
    them as faulty?

Well, technically they were faulty, as the ports were wired the wrong
way round for a hub or switch. You were just fortunate enough to find
    the work around.
