Shaw Webspace Issues

Discussion in 'Computer Support' started by Spanktifferific, Feb 21, 2004.

  1. Hi there,

I have recently spent a lot of time developing some web pages and was
excited to post them in my personal webspace. The only problem is that after
I upload to the shaw ftp site my files change. Some pages don't work and
some actually change content. I've tried clearing out my webspace a couple
times and uploading fresh but the same thing happens - somewhere, someone is
actually editing my code and changing my pages. I've compared the code of my
pages off of the web to the files they were copied from and elements have
been deleted. Can anyone help me?

Hi, you sure that you have correctly setup the address for the new site? I
doubt someone keeps hacking your site to edit the files. If possible post
one of the scripts in question in zip file for review.

    Not familiar with Shaw.
    How do you upload? FTP?
    What changes?

Oh that's nice Tim, tell someone to do something that will get them
reported to their ISP and possibly lose their usenet priveledges. It is
against usenet policy to post files to a non-binary newsgroup. Don't
you think it might be better to have them post a link so you can "view
    source" and actually help?
