Scheduling program for piano tuner and PDA

Discussion in 'Computer Support' started by Steve Freides, Jun 14, 2004.

  1. My piano tuner is currently keeping his data in File Maker Pro on an XP
PC at home but considering a PDA or a laptop. He's looking for
scheduling software that can handle his business - a calendar, and the
ability to say things like "make another appointment for six months from
now" and have a calendar pop up and show the appropriate date, allow him
    to change it, etc.

I'm not sure whether a PDA or a laptop would suit him best - since he's
already carrying a case full of tools, his inclination is to go with a
PDA that he can then sync to his home computer.

If anyone has any thoughts on what PDA and what software, I'd appreciate

Go with the PDA, pocket PC2003 comes with outlook 2002 for the main PC
so he can make appoinments into the next decade, should he so wish, not
to mention his mail, address book etc etc. It works well. I use it
