Safely Remove Hardware Icon

    Hello, I've managed to get rid of the stupid Network connection icon in my
    'tray'. I've got a couple of USB ports used with a printer and broadband
    modem which are perminantly connected, how can I get rid of the Safely
    Remove Hardware icon (the one with the little green arrow). Using XP by the
    way.

    try right clicking the task bar>>properties>>info area>>customise>>look for
    the safely remove hardware icon and choose "always hide" from the pull down
    menu>>ok.
