Routing Challenge

Discussion in 'Cisco' started by Mitch Johnson, Oct 9, 2004.

  1. I have a router running EIGRP with two subnets (A & B) behind it. The two subnets go to two different subnets (C&D), with two different routes to the internet. The last resort route is at issue. When users from the two subnets want to go to an unknown subnet (such as what is on the internet) I need subnet A to go to subnet C and subnet B to go to subnet D to get to the internet. Any help in this head scratcher would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Mitch

Simple weighting of admin distance shold do the trick.

  3. So you want to route your traffic based on where it came from rather than
where it's going to. Have a look for Policy Based Routing on CCO.
