route-map -> pre or post routing?

Discussion in 'Cisco' started by Nuno Cristelo, Jul 23, 2003.

  1. Hi,

    I have one simple question:

When does the route-map rules apply pre or post routing?

    Best regards,

  2. policy route before normal route

Although it says NAT, this is the order of precedence
    for flow in general.

Route map rules are applied pre-routing. In fact, a route-map is the only
way you can get a router to NOT forward a datagram to a directly connected
interface. A route map policy route has the highest precidence possible on a
    cisco router.
