First post to r.p.d... hi folks.

I'm very fond of my digicam (Leica Digilux).

    I'm very fond of my 35mm gear (Rollei Sl2000F & 3003).

Every time I look at the 3003, which is a modular camera with
interchangeable backs (kinda like a 35mm Hasselblad!), I think 'it
can't be *that* hard to shoehorn an imaging chip and some electronics
into one of these backs... guess I should give it a go some day'.

Can anyone point me to some 'build your own digital back' websites, or
suppliers of components for such? Someone else *must* have been stupid
    enough to try it ;-)

My googling has been unsuccessful, except for a prof. who cobbled
together something with bits of an old flatbed scanner!

    Cheers
