Remember, he doesn't read, doesn't watch TV's, doesn't see movies, he doesn't understand any references, etc etc... He's sort of like one of those characters in the game Darwinia, you just put him in a petri dish and wait to see what happens. Eventually a colony will spring up and if you give it time, they might show signs of semi-intelligence.

He's still at the petri dish stage some days. :)

How about you people in the US, when you need a place to dump your FIVE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED nuclear warheads once world peace is established. Also, if we disappeared, where would all the Asians go instead? The US, that's where.

Yeah? Then we'd have a better technology program, I mean, those Asians are smart! :)

And don't blame us for dumping our nuclear waste there, we didn't start the trend, blame that on your old pals in the UK. Besides, you've got all that extra space. :) Also you wouldn't even know about this if I didn't point it out, so no fair using my own information against me. :p

Wouldn't know about what? Us being a nuclear dump? No, it's been a national issue for a few years now, everyone knows about it who lives over here. Except for maybe nathan, who never seems to know anything, but still managed to make it to grade 11 :|

Yeah but do you not know about the atomic testing done by the British? I mean, I know he's clueless about it but, it isn't like a big secret or something is it?

We don't actually learn Australian History as a major point, since we are expected to know it on our own I suppose. We learn about the history of other countries, unless the Australian History part starts more than 5 minutes into the lesson. Because by that time i've fallen asleep :p I knew about the atomic testing carried out in Australia by the Brits, I wasn't aware of the incident involving the un-contactable Aborigines though. That's not exactly something they want to point out to us, you know?

Odd, in our history classes they always made a point of telling all about the crap we did to the natives when our forefathers came to this country. Being 1/4 Cherokee, I kinda felt torn, ya know, should I want vengeance against 3/4ths of me? :)

We did learn our own history earlier in our school life, like primary school, but after that it's not a major subject.

Why, are you part Native American too Al?

I dunno about you guys with your lack of cultural history, that's pretty odd. Looks like we learned more about your history than you did, which is really strange. And people are always putting the U.S. down for its poor educational system. I can point out where all the states are in Australia, how many Australians can point out even 10 of the U.S. states? We're not as dumb as the world thinks we are.

Plus we've got Dubya, so if we ARE stupid, he'll just blow you up.

THAT, is exactly why the rest of the world thinks you're stupid. You push it yourself, whether jokingly or not.
We did get taught about Australian history, but we have this thing about education over here: We are taught what could be useful in some way somewhere down the track. Knowing Australian history won't get far, considering our very short history as a united country, only goes back about 105 years as a whole country, further as seperate states. Not very many historic events that effected the entire world have happened over here, in the USA there have been a substantial amount more. We are taught about some of the major historical events that have taken place in the world, mainly involving wars between superpowers ie. Russia and USA.
