Is it possible to locate pics that have been opened and viewed in a program
from a USB drive but not actually saved to the hard disk? The program used
to view them is Epson Photo Quicker.

It is not necessary for a program to copy a file to your hard drive
    before it displays them.
But neither can you assume that isn't the way it works.

All you can do is look for:
a folder containing that program and temporary files for it
files with a modified date of when it was you looked
If you have file-protection software, it is possible there are backup
copies of files you used for that period.
If the USB drive came with any software, it might have a place to
automatically copy contents when you connect. That would be in a folder
    with the program itself.
or, of course, the USB drive itself.
