I need to perform a remote IOS upgrade on a Cisco 2600 series
router. Normally I have the router sitting on my desk when I do the
upgrade, but this time the router is a thousand miles away. I'm
assuming I can tftp the image to flash with a new file name and it
will save both images as long as I tell it not to format the flash.
    Am I correct?
Also I need to tell the router to reboot and use the new image. I'm
assuming I can use the boot command to point to the new image. Do I
also need to give the router the path to the image in the flash
    memory?

    Thanks.

Thank you for the information and the web link. The upgrade went
    smoothly.
