Can someone recommend me a good digital camera in the price range
$100-$200 that decent review (for this price category) and good
    battery life. thanks

p.s. anyone read a current consumer report for this price rage camera?

  2. The Canon A560 is $130 and excellent. My sister has the previous model
A550 and I can confirm that it's top-notch. Fits in a jeans pocket, large
LCD, reasonably fast shooting, intuitive controls, good image quality,
good movie mode with sound, and takes standard, cheap SD cards and AA
rechargeable batteries. (The minor downside for me is that it uses PTP
mode rather than UMS mode for USB file transfers, which is basically a
    personal personal preference.)

Here are the recommended cameras from a widely-quoted pro photographer,
and the A560 is what he calls "the cheapest good camera": http://
