program freezes when I click on a link

    When I click on a link in outlook express the arrow changes to the hand but
    nothing happens. Hand moves about with mouse but can't close program or
    anything. Hit control/alt/delete and have to hit end pgm, window comes up
    "program not responding" hit end program, and start all over. This sometimes
    happens with links in Internet Explorer as well. Don't see this program on
    any other of the 42 pages of questions on this site, so maybe it's just my
    computor. Wife has XP pro as well and has no problems. Any ideas of
    suggestions appreciated. thx Phil

    Hi, Phil.
    No. It's because the title of this newsgroup says "64bit". You are running
    WinXP Pro which is a 32-bit system. OE runs in both 32-bit and 64-bit, but
    there are several other newsgroups dedicated to OE.
