    Hi all,

I have a very basic (haven't had much time to work on it yet) website at
    GeoCities (http://www.geocities.com/moodsoft_95928). I have noticed
that both Netscape and Mozilla displays the horizontal banner
    differently than IE does.

Is this by design? Or is it something that has been deemed unimportant
    to fix?

I'm not sure of what you mean. Mozilla displays three Geoticies banners
with "undefined" written inside. Explorer displays nothing. Both give

Chris, please note that IE doesn't actually render to standards. Just
because it looks right in IE doesn't mean it's proper code.

  5. I suspect he means the Geocities add banner, which has always been non
compliant coding. Be grateful that Moz renders it as it does, its less
    intrusive then what IE does.

Your right, under IE I don't seem to have any banners either. Its only
the Netscape/Mozilla browsers that show the 3 boxes.
