please advise

    just installed Windows 98 on my pc and wanted to know if the XP home upgade
    would install completely without installing the windows 98 second edition
    cd. Because i have mispalced the Key for win98se install, does the key for
    windows 98 work for the second edition install? Thank you and please email
    me if you have some answers. thanks

    you can use the XP upgrade without having the key for your win98 cd...
    it will merely ask you to insert the cd
    (i;ve heard that even a win95 cd will work)

    From what I understand, ANY Windows version will work--even a floppy from
    3.1.
