I just created and emaild someone a PDF file that I made. Th fonts in the
PDF document display correctly on my computer (where the fonts are
installed), but on my friends computer the 'specialty fonts' are replaced by
generic san-serif fonts (he does not have the fonts installed).

I thought the whole idea of a PDF was to be able to supply a document and
have others see it exactly as it was created even if they do not have the
fonts. I was also under the impression that Acrobat creator imbeds the fonts
in the document to eliminate this problem.

Any way around the substitution problem?

    Thanks

Your PDF creator software will have settings for which fonts to embed and
which to substitute. Check the manual/help file.
