We have some files on disk that were saved in Word Perfect that we'd like to
use. No longer have WP but have Microsoft Word in Office on my XP computer.

When we try to open the files.. nothing happens. Is there a way to open and
convert files to Word format? I couldn't make sense of anything from the
Help files in Word. The mentioned something about saving files in WP format
    but not opening them.

    Stuck for now.

Search MS site. There are converters there.

Use File > Open and at the bottom of the dialogue box, click on the
arrow to the right of the 'Files of type:' box and select the version of
WordPerfect files you wish to open.
