A high speed turbo stick is basically a broadcast / receiver modem you
hook into your laptop with a usb connection.
I've got one and I'm amazed at how good it works, compared to the one
I purchased and returned to the seller only ten years ago. At half the
price it is able to send and receive remarkably well. So why am I
    writing this? It's common knowledge.
Well no it isn't. What's remarkable about this technology, today, is
it's adaptablity to work with downgraded connections. Fact in point: I
don't have usb 2 connection on my laptop, yet in spite of that, the
turbo stick is able to perform more than satisfactory for my needs.
If you remember the days of 9600 baud modems, exchanging info was slow
compared to a hard wired ethernet connection. The turbo stick modem is
no slouch compared to the ethernet, even on a degraded connection.
I'm impressed. Well done Bell Mobility.
