OLYMPUS 5050 5060 8080 vs HP PHOTOSMART 945 ...WHAT GIVES?

    I've been itchin to buy an Olympus for months now as I found it best
    in build quality and probably lens etc. THEN! For the third time now
    I've picked-up a friends HP 945 to take some shots. Something happens
    with this camera with still like pics some are truly eye-catching,
    BETTER than with any Olympus costing twice as much. How come the HP
    Photos easily come out kick-butt georgeous almost 3D like effect, with
    little effort? What's with this camera?
    I don't want to buy an HP, it feels cheap, but I can't work without
    it. Someone may be more familiar with the 945 please explain?
