Nortons SystemWorks 2003 Run Time Error

    I am trying to update my virus definitions thru live update and one of
    the definitions called Symantec Common Client update wont update and
    gives me a Run Time Error Program....

    APPLIC~1\Symantec\LIVEUP~1\DOWNLO~1\EXITEM~1.3_E\spa.exe abnormal
    program termination.

    Can anyone tell me what this is and how I can fix this problem so that
    it completes the update.

    My operating system is Windows XP Pro and my subscription for symantec
    is still current.
