Nikon D70 with Sigma lenses from my good and old F50 cam?

    Hi,
I am about to buy my first SLR soon, it will be probably D70.
Did any of you hear about problems of binding Nikon's portable lenses
    - such as Sigma (I use 28-200mm) to D70?

Will I face optical losses by using this kind of lenses on top of SLR?

I would like to be sure, and I am quiet hesitating to buy the Body
alone, or to add DX lenses.

    Thanks!

I wouldn't "bind" the lens to the SLR.... just attatch it to the bayonet
mount. Placing it "on top" of the SLR isn't a good idea either. The lens
mount is located on the front.
