I downloaded SUSE linux on to a W2000 and created a (non-hidden) share on the installation directory. Started the install on another machine using bootdisks and wanted to connect over the network to this share using NFS. There are no restrictions on the share (Everyone Full access) and the new machine receives an IP from my local DHCP nicely. No matter what I try as input for the mount, nothing connects. So now my question is, is NFS actually the same as a simple share on a Windows machine (as I start to doubt that by now)? Or do I need to do more on the W2k to be able to connect? Any help appreciated. MJJ
