New Releases: Larry Cohen flicks, Drive In double features: Updated complete downloadable R1 DVD DB

    For those with young children or one on the way Koch has a childhood
    development series due out on August 12th. Included are discs for almost
    every aspect of your child's mental growth. Brainy Baby 123's, Brainy Baby
    ABC's, Brainy Baby Animals, Brainy Baby French, Brainy Baby Left Brain,
    Brainy Baby Right Brain, Brainy Baby Shapes & Colors and Brainy Baby Spanish
    each will cost $19.98.

    Passport Video has something for fans of the old Martin & Lewis comedy team.
    August 26th will bring At War With The Army and Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis

    In addition, Passport has some older titles for release on August 26th.
    Included are Charade, Jungle Book and Meet John Doe each with a suggested
    price of only $9.98. They do not appear to have the best of technical

    Questar has some Biblical dramas set for release on July 29th. This series
    of announcements included Mary Of Nazareth, King of Kings and Mystery Of The
    Three Kings.

    Sony Music will release the DVD single Beyonce: Crazy In Love on July 8th
    for $7.98.

    For fans and collectors of anime Pioneer has something for you. September
    2nd brings Love Hina Again: The Movie and s-CRY-ed Volume 2: The Alter Hunt.
    Following this on September 16th are Big O: Collector's Edition, Gene Shaft
    Orbit Vol:3, Spirit of Wonder: The Movie and X #7: Seven.

    Fans of writer/director Larry Cohen can look forward to some releases
    announced by Blue Underground. This writer has penned many horror flicks,
    television shows and most recently the thriller 'Phone Booth'. His 1972
    feature Bone comes to DVD on August 26th and features a commentary track by
    Cohen. Also on that date is his 1976 opus God Told Me Too, complete with his
    commentary and Q: The Winged Serpent, again on August 26th with Cohen
    providing a commentary track. Q comes with a widescreen transfer, anamorphic
    has not been confirmed. Each disc has a suggested cost of $19.95.

    For some mid-summer late night viewing some may be interested in the
    additions Anchor Bay is making to their 'Drive In Double Feature series'.
    Most are either horror or comedy/horror and will be released on August 5th
    from $14.95 to $19.98. Included in this round of announcements are;
    Possession / Shock, Initiation, The / Mountaintop Motel Massacre, Fade To
    Black / Hell Night, Circus Of Horrors / Theatre Of Death, Blade In The Dark
    / Macabre, Elvira, Mistress Of The Dark / Transylvania 6-500, Hell Of The

    On August 19th Music Video Distributors has a documentary on the late member
    of TLC. Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes: Crazy Sexy Cool: May 27, 1971 - Apr 25 2002.

    On July 29th VCI has something for fans of older television shows. One Step
    Beyond: Collection 1 comes to DVD. This anthology series featured 'true'
    tales of the unexplained and ran from the late 50s to early 60s. The set has
    a suggested price of $29.99.
