New Releases: Dilbert, Law&Order, Vacation: Updated complete downloadable R1 DVD DVB & info lists

    Universal has apparently listened to the fans of the Law and Order spin offs
    that where not satisfied with just the premier episodes being released. Law
    & Order: Special Victims Unit - The First Year and Law & Order: Criminal
    Intent - The First Year will be released on October 21st for $59.95 each

    Warner Brothers has Vegas Vacation (Widescreen) and Vegas Vacation (Pan &
    Scan) set for release on October 7th. This title is reported as sporting 5.1
    audio. The widescreen version looks to be anamorphic. If you want the
    complete set of Vacation flicks you can go for National Lampoon's Vacation
    Giftset also out on October 7th for $59.92. This set includes National
    Lampoon's Vacation, National Lampoon's European Vacation, National Lampoon's
    Christmas Vacation and the new Vegas Vacation. The specifications are pretty
    much the same as the individual releases, mostly if not all anamorphic.

    Catcom is branching out from their double feature series with some
    documentaries. A number of them have been released and are still active from
    other studios. All are set for release on August 12th for $6.65. Included
    are Muhammad Ali: The Greatest, Elvis: The Complete Story, Comedy Cavalcade:
    Amos N' Andy, Frank Sinatra Memorial, Ocean's 11 Story, Bruce Lee: Immortal
    Dragon, Close Encounters: Proof Of Alien Contact, 100 Years Of Horror and
    Crusade In The Pacific: Volume 2, Crusade In The Pacific: Volume 3, Pearl
    Harbor: A Day Of Infamy.

    For Ed Wood mavens Catcom has (same release date, same price) Plan 9 From
    Outer Space and Jail Bait / Glen Or Glenda (Double Feature). For the more
    religiously inclined they have Living Christ: Challenges & Miracles, Living
    Christ: World Without End and Living Christ: As It Was In The Beginning.

    Of course there seems to be no end to the double feature releases by Catcom,
    August 12th and $6.65 naturally. Add to the list Satanic Rites Of Dracula /
    The Deep Red Hatchet Murders (Double Feature), Radar Men From The Moon /
    Super Cartoons, Return To Treasure Island / Captain Scarlett (Double
    Feature), Star Is Born, A / Penny Serenade (Double Feature), They Saved
    Hitler's Brain / The Frozen Dead (Double Feature), Jack Nicholson Double
    Feature: Ride In The Whirlwind / The Shooting, Bail Out / Deadly Drifter

    Any that are interested in the Kennedy family may wish to check out the two
    October 28th releases by PBS, Jackie: Behind The Myth and Kennedy's:
    American Experience.

    Kultur has a series of Broadway Theatrical productions ready for release on
    August 12th for $24.95. Included are Broadway Theatre Archive: Scarecrow,
    Broadway Theatre Archive: Sea Marks, Broadway Theatre Archive: The Rules Of
    The Game and Broadway Theatre Archive: When Hell Freezes Over, I'll Skate.
    Also on that date are Fantasy Garden Ballet Class and Inside Tolkien's The
    Fellowship Of The Ring.

    Columbia/Tri-Star has some flicks coming out on September 30th. The initial
    announcements indicate Stereo audio and non-anamorphic widescreen video. Of
    course, things may change with subsequent updates. Included are Forbidden
    Dance is Lambada, Nowhere in Africa (Special Edition/2 Disc), Dead Heat On A
    Merry-Go-Round, Rudy (Deluxe Edition with CD Premium) and Scenes of the
    Crime (the last two confirmed as 5.1 audio). All are due for September 30th.
    There is also Daddy Day Care (Special Edition) with anamorphic video and 5.1

    Columbia also has a couple of television shows also coming out on September
    30th. Dawson's Creek: Season Finale is an extended cut of the fail well show
    with extras including scenes from the studio pilot presentation. The
    suggested price is $24.95. If your tastes are more towards animated super
    heroes you may look forward to Tick: The Entire Series for $29.95. And for
    those that toil away at work in front of a computer there is Dilbert: The
    Complete First Season also on September 30th for $29.95.

    Other television DVD releases are Bonanza: Next Generation from MTI on
    September 16, Little House On The Prairie Christmas from Goldhil on October
    7th and Cracker: The Complete 1st Season from HBO on October 14th.

    Speaking of television shows, Son Of The Beach: Volume 2 (UPC 024543079347)
    from Fox, originally set for release on September 9this currently listed as
    postponed to a yet unspecified date.

    Men Who Killed Kennedy: Commemorative 40th Anniversary Edition will be
    released by A&E on November 25th for $39.95.

    From Warner Brothers for release on October 7th, Blink and Excessive Force
    both initially announced as anamorphic with 5.1 audio. Suggested price is
    $19.98 each.

    Still more low end double features from Catcom. Like the other sets they
    will be released on August 12th for $6.65. Included are Laser Mission /
