Once again a little distributor like Blue Underground shows up a lot of the
big studios. While they specialize in so called 'guilty pleasure' flicks
they certainly do not skimp on the technical specifications. I have
confirmation from them that Venom (Special Edition), due out on July 29th
will contain Dolby EX and DTS ES audio as well as an anamorphic video. Also
due out that date is with the same impressive specs.

Trimark has added Saturday Night Live: Best Of Eddie Murphy to their August
12th releases of SNL performers. The disc will go for $14.98.

Among the cancelled list are Robert Townsend: Partners In Crime Volume 3
from Urban Edge, New Order: Live At Finsbury Park from Music Video and
Suddenly / Till The Clouds Roll By from Ideal, The Producers and Honeymoon
In Vegas from USA. As always please check the rescheduled list for titles
that are set for a newer release.

Well the UPC number has been assigned to the October 21st Universal release
of the complete Batllestar Glalactica set. While most everyone has reported
this release by now I like to wait for the official designation of the UPC,
025192307126, in this case. The release will have Dolby 5.1 audio and full
screen video. It does look like there will be little if any extras included.
The set has a street price of $119.98.

Warner Brothers has something for those die hard Doctor Who fans out there.
Doctor Who #10: The Dalek Invasion of Earth and Doctor Who #91: Talons of
Weng-Chiang will be released on October 7th for $34.98 each.

    for $27.95.

Rounding out the announcements I just got from Warner Brothers is something
for collectors of Brit-Coms. Only Fools and Horses: Complete Seasons 1-3
hits the shelves on October 7th for $79.98.

The acerbic humor George Carlin will be featured in the multi disc set
George Carlin: Completely Carlin (Box Set) from MPI due out on September
    30th for $79.98.

Buena Vista has some three and four film packs set for release on September
