"New generation" MCTS Card and Cert

  1. I have to say that to some degree I am disappointed in the new card and
certification paper quality. The 2003 series MCP card was a pleasing dull
blue that used a line pattern on the face to deter counterfeiting.
Additionally, a micro-sparkle layer was used to additionally deter casual
counterfeiting. The overall effect was a fairly pleasing card.

The new MCTS card, however, is outright ugly. It carries the logo for the
MCTS program but no specific information what I have actually passed. The
primary space on the card is white with a green stripe (upon which your name
is printed in black, low contrast) underlied by a disgusting dark yellow bar.
Adding microsparkle and a hologram to the face of a very ugly card just
gives you a gaudy very ugly card.

On top of which I definitely feel a difference in quality of the paper and
printing of the new generation cert. The paper used is simply a heavier
    matte laser paper.

it is unfortunate and sad to see the tokens of Microsoft credentials, some
of which require significant time and monetary investment from the candidate,
atrophy as we move into the new generation of Microsoft certifications.
