Netgear WGR614 v5 router doesn't like VPN?

    I have the Netgear WGR614 v5 router with the latest firmware.

    Adding ports 1720 - 1723 as a port forward to my desktop for a vpn
    connection. This works fine - for a while. Don't know when exactly,
    but after some time (nothing specific that I can tell, ie time frame),
    I can no longer VPN in. I go into the addministration of the router,
    and the VPN port forwards are GONE.

    I'm naming the port forward VPN, so don't know if that somehow
    triggers a 'delete me" on the router or what, but this gets annoying.

    Anyone know of a fix for this?
