Netbios over IP slowness with 3600 Ciscos, IMAs and ATM

Need verification from other similar sites...we are running our IMAs
with 3 T1s, using ATM...with either one, two or three of the lines
hooked up, we still see the same throughput (~800KB) when we do any of
the typical Windows stuff (drag & drop, etc)...but using FTP, there is
a change in throughput as lines are added and taken away (which is
    what you would expect!)...

Our vendor tells us that because we do Netbios over IP, we cannot get
more throughput, even by adding more lines...!...

Can you give me your take on this?

    TIA!

  2. Your vendor is right. You cannot get more performance with Netbios in
your situation. Netbios over WAN is a pain in the ass :-(
