My friend set up my wireless networking at home. Now he is back in
Germany so I am on my own. At time my needs were simple -- I just
needed to surf from my laptop wirelessly. He did not allow remote
surfing and did not set up any networking (I only have a desktop &
laptop is not interested in seeing the files on each). He used a Belkin
router via my DSL modem. I understand that connection is good for
several feet (so far I have managed to surf from the backyard).
My problem now is what do I need to do to surf using the laptop at work
-- 30 miles from home. Do I need to make changes to make the connection
'remote'? Can you point me in the right direction?
    Clueless.
