multiple simultaneous connections to NNTP-server?

    Perhaps some smart-arses on this forum/tribe can take time-off of stalking,
    to give an opinion of this: IMO interesting query.

    I don't want to crack-open the source -- again; but I suspect that my
    ETHOberon client [I hate pan] makes a new connection for each task that
    I give it for any 1 one-line session.

    Can you see this from the following extract of `lsof | grep <ETHO>` ?

    Shouldn't it use ONE connection; since the fetches are NOT done simultaneously?

    Let's see if I can post this now with ETHO, instead of pan.
