Upgraded [email protected] to XPee Pee andgot no sound.

Found Plug and play Software Device with an exclamation point regarding
    no drivers.

Everything is instaled but it says there are no audio devices on the
    machine.

This is supposedto be related to Direct X latest and I saw a fix on the
    net but it didn't work.

Strained my eyes and other resources looking to MS for a fix nothing for
free there and I didn't try the plug and PAY department.

Anyone with a clue on this (except the "remove line 20 from Machine.inf"
fix pleaselemme know andI will spreadthe word to hundreds of people in
    the same mess.

Noving from Win2000 to XP is NOT an upgrade. And what's a plug and play
    Software Device?

What exactly are you trying to install, a sound card or does the board
    have on-board sound?
