Seeing NEWSGROUP messages was fine till yesterday. I do not know what I may
have done but now I cannot see the messages although it downloads the
headers (the number of headers is shown in brackets after the particular
newsgroup).. Instead of seeing the headers in the pane I get the message
"There are no items in this view. Some items may be hidden because a view is
    applied"
The view I have always selected is "Hide read messages" and the pane
headings are the paperclip; Subject; From; Sent and Size.
What other views is this silly message on about?
    I am running Win98

  2. Go up to View, then Current View & see if you've also managed to check "Show
Replies to my Messages". If you have, uncheck it.
