Mail with certain attachments eg *.exe files are not being delivered - the
sender receives a mail reporting delivery failure. Attachments such as
*.doc are being delivered. Was not aware of this until this week. I'm using
Outlook Express on a machine running Windows XP Home with SP1 & SP2. Have
been to Tools/Options/Security in OE and unchecked the virus protection box
about opening/saving files that could contain a virus.

    Any other thoughts?

The actual failure message being ..? From who? Local or remote postmaster?

I'm guessing the remote mail server isn't accpeting mails with exe's
attached, or the local server won't send them out.

It's probably because the serveri n question sees exe files as virii... The
way around this problem is to zip your exe files... or any other type that
    aren't delivered...

Don't tell me- I run mail servers and know this. Tell Roger.
