Is there a way to lock the short cut icons in Windows XP.

Because each time I start computer or change colour screen resolution.

The short cut icons would move to a different position not to my liking.

Is there anywhere to lock it so that the short cut icons won't move randomly?

    Thanks.

Right-click the desktop, "Arrange Icons By", check "Align to grid"

You could also try the freeware program "Icon Restore" to restore the icons
to their saved positions. It's similar to EZDesk, but without the overhead.
