    Replaced a 13GB with a 250GB, on a spare machine,
a 1.2 Celeron, running Windows 2000. The drive is only
seen as having 135GB (approx). After doing some
searching at Google, I figured that the BIOS may need
to be flashed, but found no updates, nor support from
the web. I also read that service pack 3 or above for
my OS would make the drive capable of being seen.
I have all current updates now, and was hoping someone
could point me in the right direction. TIA

You can download liveCDs like knoppix and then
boot up from CD, and run QtParted to see if the
drive is OK. It will see the full 250Gb bypassing
    any issues with the BIOS.
