kyocera printers

    Does anyone know what can cause the drum unit to have a small chip,on
    printers like the FS1900,3800 etc...as kyocera will deem this as chargeable
    even thought the printer is still under warrenty.

    Damage probably caused by foreign object.Paper clip. Burnt toast etc.
    If it is leaving marks on the paper a new drum is required.
    But try http://www.kyoceramita.co.uk
    or first try your supplier

    Staples. Paper clips. Fingernail clippings. Stuff that gets into the paper
    tray, feed rollers, etc., that runs through the printer with the paper and
    scratches the drum. "Foreign" as in "it doesn't belong there".
