a problem with Kaspersky Personal 5.0 not updating

the new cumulative update is out today, but on downloading and installing,
it announces that it's "corrupted" and needs to be replaced

downloading the .zip file manually and installing seems to work -
selecting "test" in WinRAR announces that the .zip file itself is fine

( so, I'm sort of assuming that the problem may be an error by Kaspersky -
an incorrect hash value being distributed with the definitions ? )

anyone else having this problem ?

this is Kaspersky Personal 5.0 - build 227
and is the trial version with a week left to run,
so there *ought* not be any problem related to validity of the app itself

Same here and servers appear to be overloading as a consequence.

Kas won't even connect now. Tried a manual download but too slow.
This is the first I have seen this with Kaspersky in over a year.
They seem to be have server problems.
